Do fewer miles!
If you don’t use the car you are not burning fuel.
I know it seems obvious but none of the hypermilling techniques listed here are anywhere near as good as simply not driving in the first place.
Think – do you really have to make that journey. If you do is there a better way of making it?
Better planing – join trips up rather than jumping in the car every day, can you call on two customers in the same area?
Set up a car pool for journeys to and from work – fill a car and you can all save as much as 75% of fuel costs for the daily commute as well as massive wear and tear and car servicing costs (as well as parking etc).
Maybe even look at the costs of public transport, you never know, one day public transport might actually start working out cheaper, more efficient, greener. Maybe.
Walk or get a bike!
Hypermilling.co.uk is simply a small website about hypermilling – hypermilling techniques wll be listed and explained, news about hypermilling listed and links off to useful hypermilling resources.
Remember – being safe is more important than miles per gallon and even a small bump will totally negate any savings made by hypermilling.
You should always make sure your car is totally road legal and your car insurance is up to date, if you have any doubt contact your car insurance company.
